Yong-suk is the main antagonist of Train to Busan.
He is protrayed by Kim Eui-sung.
History[]
He is a rich, cowardly businessman and COO. He takes a train to Busan. On board, he meets a homeless man and demands that he be dropped off. At the same time, he meets Seok-woo's daughter, Su-an and advises her to work well at school or she will end up like this man. The girl reproaches him for his nastiness that his mother taught him to recognize although Yong-suk only jokes that his mother should not be a very good student.
At the start of the trip, he watched the news on his car TV and was worried when he saw the violence of people during a demonstration. He then panics when he sees the passengers running from everywhere and understands that it is a contamination. When Seok-woo enters the car, Yong-suk tells him to close the door when a couple wants to enter.
The man then makes several calls and requests that the train stop at Daejeon. At the station, he runs to see the conductor to detach the locomotive and leave for Busan because it is the only place not infected yet. The conductor tells him that it's not possible and goes to get all the passengers out of the train, Yong-suk reluctantly following him. However, they went back when they saw the army come to protect them, infected. Then, Yong-suk forces Ki-chul an attendant to tell to the conductor to go.
Later, Jin-hee informs her friend is going to arrive in this car with other people. However, Yong-suk gets angry saying that she is not even sure that these people are infected, and will refuse to let them in. So, Yong-suk destroys the girl's phone so that she does not help Yong-guk to enter and the passengers block the entrance. Although they blocked the first door, Yong-guk breaks it and tries to enter with the homeless. Yong-suk prevents him with other passengers but they finally give in. Seok-woo then hits Yong-suk, holding him responsible for the deaths of Sang-hwa and In-gil. Cowardly, Yong-suk deduces that he and his friends are infected and that they must leave the car.
Going to the vestibule, Seok-woo glares at Yong-suk and the passengers are now blocking the other door. Right after, Jong-gil, In-gil's sister, takes revenge on the passengers by opening the door on them, letting the zombies enter
However, Yong-suk and Ki-chul, the train attendant, managed to escape the zombie onslaught in the train car where they stay after an elderly woman opened the door on the side where the late coming survivors came from, and hide in the toilet, listening to the conductor's message. The two decide to leave and Yong-suk took a peek and saw a zombie blocking their way of escape from the bathroom where they hid and he decided to use the train attendant as a bait to the zombies by telling a lie that there is no zombies in front of their bathroom where they hid and asked him to go first when the train attendant saw a zombie after taking a peek from the bathroom where they hid Yong-suk quickly pushes him to the zombies that blocks their way to escape from the bathroom where they are in, so he can have some time and a way to escape from the train car while the train attendant is being attacked by zombies.
He crosses a train and throws Jin-hee while also throwing her at a zombie and continues to run until the locomotive started by the conductor. He then twists his ankle and the conductor comes to help him get up but the conductor also ends up being killed by the infected. Yong-suk rides the locomotive but has been bitten and begins to transform.
He is then found by Seok-woo with his daughter and Seong-kyeong. At that point, he had already become a zombie and attacked the three survivors. Unfortunately, he infects Seok-woo by biting him into his hand, before Seok-woo throws him off the train, mostly likely killing him. However, Seok-woo later commits suicide by throwing himself off the train due to being infected and to protect his daughter.
