Yong-suk is the main antagonist of Train to Busan.
He is protrayed by Kim Eui-sung and voiced by Christopher R. Sabat in English dub.
History[]
He is a rich, cowardly businessman and COO (Chief Operating Officer). He was shown taking a train to Busan. On board, he meets a homeless man and demands that he be dropped off. At the same time, he meets Seok-woo's daughter, Su-an and advises her to work well at school or she will end up like this man. The girl reproaches him for his nastiness as his mother taught him to recognize although Yong-suk only joked that his mother was not a very good student.
At the start of the trip, he watched the news on his car TV and was worried when he saw the violence during a demonstration. He then panicked when he saw the passengers running from everywhere and realized that it was a contamination. When Seok-woo entered the car, Yong-suk told him to close the door when a couple tried to enter.
The man then made several calls and requested that the train stop at Daejeon. At the station, he ran to see the conductor to detaching the locomotive and leaving for Busan because it is the only place that hadn’t been infected yet. The conductor tells him that it's not possible and goes to get all the passengers out of the train, Yong-suk reluctantly follows him. However, they went back when they saw the army come to protect them had become infected. Then, Yong-suk forces Ki-chul an attendant to tell to the conductor to start the train.
Later, Jin-hee informs her friend is going to arrive in this car with other people. However, Yong-suk gets angry saying that she is not even sure that these people are infected or not, and will refuse to let them in. As a result, Yong-suk destroys the girl's phone so that she does not help Yong-guk enter and has the other passengers block the entrance. Although they blocked the first door, Yong-guk breaks it and tries to enter with the homeless man. Yong-suk prevents him from entering with help from the other passengers but they finally give in. Seok-woo then punches Yong-suk, holding him responsible for the deaths of Sang-hwa and In-gil. Being a coward, Yong-suk accuses Seok-woo and his group of being infected and that they must leave the car.
Going to the vestibule, Seok-woo glares at Yong-suk and the other passengers then block the other door. Right after, Jong-gil, In-gil's sister, takes revenge on the passengers by opening the door on them, letting the zombies enter and attack the other passengers.
However, Yong-suk and Ki-chul, the train attendant, managed to escape the zombie onslaught in the train car where they escaped after an elderly woman opened the door on the side where the late coming survivors came from, and hid in the toilet, listening to the conductor's message. The two decided to leave and Yong-suk took a peek and saw a zombie blocking their way of escape from the bathroom where they hid and he decided to use the train attendant as bait for the zombies by telling a lie that there was no zombies in front of their bathroom where they hid and asked him to go first when the train attendant saw a zombie after taking a peek from the bathroom where they hid, Yong-suk pushed him into the zombies that blocked their way to escape from the bathroom where they are in, so he can have some time and a way to escape from the train car while the train attendant was being attacked by the zombies.
He crosses a train and tosses Jin-hee at a zombie and continues to run until the locomotive is started by the conductor. He then twists his ankle and the conductor comes to help him get up but the conductor also ends up being killed by the infected. Yong-suk starts trying to drive the locomotive but has been bitten and begins to turn into a zombie.
He is then found by Seok-woo with his daughter and Seong-kyeong. At that point, he had already become a zombie and attacked the three survivors. Unfortunately, he infects Seok-woo by biting him on his hand, before Seok-woo throws him off the train, mostly likely killing him. However, Seok-woo later commits suicide by throwing himself off the train due to being infected and to protect his daughter.
