Hye-yeong, full name Mun Hye-yeong (문혜영), is a minor character in Train to Busan. She is portrayed by Moon Hye-yeong.
History[]
Hye-yeong is a Korean girl who was born on March 17, 1994 in Daejeon, South Korea. She is an attendant on the train to Busan that experiences the zombie outbreak.
In the film, Hye-yeong makes her only appearance walking down the aisle connecting two train cars before the train departs. She runs into Ki-chul in the aisle and bows, but is stopped by him before she could leave, as Ki-chul noticed that she was not wearing her uniform's scarf properly. A slightly embarrassed Hye-yeong proceeds to adjust her scarf before walking away. Although her infection and death are not shown on screen, it is implied in the film that she died or turned into a zombie as a result of a zombie invasion on a train. After that, her zombie form was not seen until the end of the film, but most likely she died in a train crash.
Trivia[]
- Hye-yeong is named after her actress, Moon Hye-yeong, though the character's surname is Mun instead of Moon.
